Grass Roots Advocacy - PAC Development - Election Analysis
“Funnier than Mark Russell without a piano but with a message”
Tom Dobbins, American Consulting Engineers Council
This is how Keynote Speaker, political pundit, humorist and grassroots legislative advocacy Patrick Haggerty is described. A 30 plus year Washington, DC political, legislation and media veteran, Haggerty informs, empowers and entertains audiences by combining his upbeat platform skills, his content and his quick wit. Pat has spoken to associations and corporations in 43 states and his hometown, Washington, DC. All Pat’s programs include copious amounts of patriotism which reminds Americans of the greatness of our country and the leadership each of us provide to keep this the greatest country in the world.
Displaying his delightfully disrespectful Irish wit, Haggerty often says that his 30 plus years in our nation’s capital have taught him that
“The difference between elected officials and the Boy Scouts is that Boy Scouts have adult supervision.”
A journalist and raconteur, Haggerty covers Congress, the White House and federal agencies. His career also includes having been a Press Secretary to three Members of Congress, an Advanceman for U.S. Senate Campaign, an advisor to four Presidential campaigns and the CEO of a trade association. He has seen and/or experienced everything that works and doesn’t work in Washington, DC’s legislative, political and media arenas.
Pat’s communication and political experience also includes being a guest several times on the Larry King Show, being the Washington, DC political news consultant to ABC TV’s Good Morning America and a speaker for Congressional Quarterly’s legislative seminar.
You may have seen Pat as the speech/humor coach trying the teach Borat the “...NOT!...” joke in the movie BORAT.
Pat has a Journalism degree from the University of St. Thomas and worked at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune while earning that degree.
